WHITELAND
Betty J. (Ratliff) Stillabower, 87, passed away on Friday, January 12th, 2018 at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Franklin. She was a resident of Whiteland, Indiana.
She was born on December 14th, 1930 in Brown County, Indiana to Jesse and Ester (Jacobs) Ratliff. She married Donald V. Stillabower on February 3rd, 1951. Betty is survived by their daughter, Dawn Eastburn; five grandchildren, Mark (Katie) Eastburn, Dana (Trent) Petro, Nick Stillabower, Renee Stillabower and Brad (Annie) Stillabower; and nine great-grandchildren. Also surviving is sister, June (Gene) Baker; brother, Robin (Peggy) Ratliff; and sister, Kay (Terry) Bonham. She was preceded in passing by her parents; husband, Don, on March 16th, 2017; son, Gary Stillabower; and sister, Joan Davidson.
She was a graduate of Helmsburg High School.
Betty was employed by Whiteland Community High School as a Secretary. She retired after many years of dedicated service.
She was a member of Whiteland United Methodist Church and Tri-Kappa Sorority. Betty enjoyed playing bridge and cooking and taking care of her family.
Rev. Joe Wyatt will conduct a Celebration of Betty’s life on Tuesday, January 16th, at 7:00 p.m. at Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 North Morton Street, (U.S. 31 North), in Franklin with calling on Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. to time of service at the funeral home. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, January 17th at 11:00 a.m. at East Hill Cemetery in Morgantown, Indiana.
