Boys tourney games postponed

Due to treacherous road conditions, the semifinal round of the Johnson County tournament at Center Grove was postponed to today.

Franklin and Greenwood will play the first semifinal game at 11 a.m., with Indian Creek to face the host Trojans at 1 p.m. The championship will tip off at 8 p.m.

The consolation games will not be played.

Center Grove’s girls basketball game against Roncalli will be played in the West Gym at 1:30 p.m.

Edinburgh offers hitting camp

New Edinburgh varsity baseball coach Greg Mose will conduct a hitting camp for players in grades 1 to 8. The camp will be in the hitting barn across the street from the high school gym on Feb. 3, 10, 18 and 24, as well as March 3 and 10.

Times for each age group are as follows: noon to 1 p.m. for grades 1 and 2; 1:15 to 2:15 p.m. for grades 3 and 4; 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. for grades 5 and 6; and 4 to 5 p.m. for grades 7 and 8.

Registration is $25 per player, which covers all six sessions and includes an official Edinburgh baseball T-shirt and shorts. Please sign up by Jan. 19 to be able to receive shirt and shorts on the first day of camp.
