NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Parts of Tennessee are under a winter storm warning.

The National Weather Service says the warning is in effect through Friday evening for western and portions of northcentral Tennessee.

The weather service says rain will change to freezing rain and sleet before becoming all snow on Friday, tapering off by afternoon. A light coating of ice and up to 2 inches (5 centimeters) of snow is possible.

Officials say Fort Campbell along the Kentucky border will be open for limited operations.
