IRVINE, Calif. — Jackson Rowe had 14 points and eight rebounds and Kyle Allman Jr. scored 13 points to help CS Fullerton beat UC Irvine 67-64 on Thursday night.
Austin Awosika added 11 points and Khalil Ahmad scored 10 for Fullerton (10-5, 3-0 Big West).
Allman scored six points as the Titans closed the game on a 14-6 run despite missing five of their final six field-goal attempts. The Anteaters made just 3 of 11 and committed four turnovers during that span.
Evan Leonard had 20 points and three steals for Irvine (6-13, 1-2) and Eyassu Worku scored 14.
The Anteaters led for more than 26 minutes and Tommy Rutherford’s layup gave them a 58-53 advantage with 7:15 to play.
The Titans made five fewer field goals (19) than Irvine, but outscored the Anteaters 23-9 from the free throw line.
