PHOENIX — State troopers and a Phoenix police motorcycle officer teamed up to stop a wrong-way driver on a Phoenix-area freeway early Friday morning without any collisions or injuries being reported.

Trooper Kameron Lee of the Arizona Department of Public Safety says the Phoenix officer pulled over the wrong-way driver as troopers performed a traffic break to move other vehicles to the other side of the freeway.

Abc15.com (KNXV-TV) reports that the car was northbound in southbound lanes of State Route 51 near Greenway Road when first reported and that it was stopped along the Loop 101 in Scottsdale.
