Officials: Man arrested after pointing gun

A Franklin man was arrested after pointing a gun during a domestic dispute Tuesday night, police said.

Robert Ryan Baker, 35, of 1075 Longest Drive, was arrested on felony charges of intimidation and pointing a firearm and a misdemeanor charge of criminal mischief.

Police were called to a Franklin home at 7:45 p.m. Tuesday because of an upset relative who was intoxicated and had weapons. Family members told police they had been arguing, that Baker pointed his gun at one of them and that he destroyed a staircase banister, the report said.

Baker told police he had not pointed a gun, the report said.

No injuries were reported. Police took four weapons from Baker, the report said.

Baker was held at the Johnson County jail on $5,500 bond. The Johnson County Prosecutor’s Office will decide, what, if any, charges to file.
