Suzanne Whaley Kemp Branham

Suzanne Whaley Kemp Branham, 83, of Greenwood, passed away January, 8, 2018.

She was born May 17, 1934 in Thiensville, WI, to the late William Walter and Selma Buyher Whaley. Suzanne moved to Indianapolis at a young age, and graduated from Howe High School in 1952. She worked at Western Electric where she would meet her husband, Thomas H. Kemp. They lived in Lafayette for 10 years. Suzanne returned to Indianapolis, and was employed as a secretary at Teamsters Local 135 from 1965, retiring in 1985. She married Carlos Branham in 1974, who preceded her in death in 1986. Suzanne was a member of Greenwood Christian Church. She loved spending time with her family at Raccoon Lake, and also spent years researching family history through genealogy, and amassed an amazing amount of records dating back centuries. Suzanne loved to play euchre, poker, bingo and was an accomplished bridge player.

Suzanne is survived by her loving sons, Jeffrey Alan (Tammy), Gary David (Lidia) and Mark Steven Kemp; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
