Arion L. Fox

MORGANTOWN

Arion L. Fox, age 77, passed away peacefully on January 7, 2018 at Homeview Health & Rehabilitation Center in Franklin. He was a long-time resident of Morgantown.

Arion was born September 18, 1940 at the Coleman Hospital in Indianapolis, to his parents, the late Leon and Catherine I. (Neville) Fox. After high school, he attended Indiana University in Bloomington.

Arion worked as an auto mechanic for most of his life. He was very passionate about working on automobiles, either doing mechanical work or restoring them with his son, Gary. Arion was also a licensed Beauty Instructor, where he worked at the House of Jane in Columbus many years ago.

Being a long-time resident of Morgantown, he will be remembered for driving around town in many different restored vehicles, on his way to visit with family and friends. Arion enjoyed fishing, cooking and was a fan of John Wayne and Clint Eastwood western movies. He was also a fan of drag racing.

Arion is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 54 years, Betty Ann (Coulter) Fox, whom he married on November 30, 1963 in Bargersville. He is also survived by a son, Gary (Michelle) Fox of Brown County; grandson, Bobby Fox of Brown County; sister, Peggy (Dale) Perry of Avon; and several nieces and nephews.

The Rev. Don Kinser will conduct a funeral service at 11 a.m. on Thursday at Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center, 179 E. Mulberry Street in Morgantown. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at East Hill Cemetery in Morgantown.
