Woodmen fall at Westfield

Despite 21 points from Alex Kincaid, Greenwood was unable to overcome a big third quarter from host Westfield in a 59-50 defeat Tuesday night.

The Woodmen (10-10), who also got 11 points from Leah Moore, led by one at the half before the Shamrocks outscored them 17-7 in the third to take a 42-33 lead.

Woodmen girls win at Southport

Greenwood split a dual meet at Southport on Tuesday, with the girls rolling to a 119-62 win and the boys taking a 133-47 loss.

Alayna Kenworthy won the 200-yard individual medley and the backstroke for the Woodmen girls, who swept all three relays and also got victories from Samantha Loudermilk (butterfly), Rachel Knight (200 freestyle), Grace Nuhfer (50 freestyle), Alex Wilson (100 freestyle) and Faith Jackson (diving).

Jake Johnson was the lone boys winner, taking first in diving.

Trojans sweep Pike

Center Grove had little trouble taking both halves of its home meet against Pike, with the boys earning a 133-52 triumph and the girls winning by a 119-67 score.
