LAS CRUCES, N.M. — A Las Cruces woman is dead following the crash of her vehicle into a building.

Las Cruces police say the 63-year-old woman was driving on Motel Boulevard near Roadrunner Lane around noon Friday when her car suddenly went off the roadway.

The vehicle kept traveling until it hit the corner of an upholstery business.

Firefighters and paramedics administered CPR to the woman. She was then transported to a hospital where she was pronounced dead.

Police say she was the sole occupant of the vehicle and no one else was injured.

They say it is possible the woman may have suffered a medical episode prior to the vehicle veering off the road.

Her identity has not been released because next of kin has not been notified.
