GREENWOOD
Robert Roy Kincade, Jr. 87, of Greenwood passed away on the morning of December 31, 2017. He was born on March 20, 1930 in Point Pleasant, West Virginia to the late Robert Roy Kincade, Sr. and Clara Belle Krebs Kincade.
Roy attended schools in West Virginia and graduated from Marshall University with a Bachelor’s degree.
He proudly served his country in the United States Army and received the National Defense Service Medal and Good Conduct Medal. Roy spent his career as an auditor for the United States Government.
He retired as Branch Manager of the Indianapolis office of Health and Human Services in 1988. Early in his career he and Gerry even spent time on assignment with Army Audit Services in Europe. He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church and The Association of Government Accountants.Roy is survived by his wife of 65 years Geraldine Kincade; son Steve (Mindi) Kincade; daughter Lisa (Jim) Workman; grandchildren Jessica Workman, Molly (Adam) Beuoy, Jeffrey Workman, Sarah Kincade, and Mark Kincade; sister Phyllis Bowen; and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in passing by his parents and four half-sisters.
Services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 6, 2018 at Christ United Methodist Church. Visitation will be from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. Friday, January 5 at Singleton Community Mortuary and Memorial Center and one hour prior to service time at the church.
