STANLEY, N.D. — A crash involving a pickup truck and a dump truck on the west edge of Stanley killed the driver of the pickup.

The Highway Patrol says 95-year-old Clifford Bakke, of Stanley, lost control of the pickup on a slippery U.S. Highway 2 shortly before noon Wednesday, and the dump truck that was following him struck his vehicle.

The dump truck driver wasn’t hurt.
