ZACHARY, La. — Authorities say a Louisiana woman and her two young daughters died in a fire that ripped through their mobile home.

Zachary Fire Chief Danny Kimble said the cause of Wednesday night’s deadly blaze remained under investigation Thursday.

Kimble says the mother who died in the fire was 30 years old, and her children were 8 years old and 10 months old.

The state fire marshal’s office was assisting in the investigation.

The family’s mobile home was located on Highway 19 in Zachary, a city roughly 16 miles north of Baton Rouge.
