Police: Man arrested on drug charges

A man who was arrested on multiple felony drug dealing charges less than a year ago was taken to jail again after police found drugs in his vehicle during a traffic stop.

Jeremy E. Grimes, 44, Indianapolis, was arrested on charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of cocaine/narcotic and possession of a controlled substance.

Greenwood police stopped Grimes’ vehicle at 10:30 p.m. Saturday on U.S. 31 after he didn’t use his turn signal to change lanes, the police report said. He acted nervous and told police he was out of jail on bond on a drug possession charge, the report said.

The officer called a police dog to the scene, and officers found methamphetamine, cocaine, Xanax and suboxone in the vehicle, the report said.

He is facing nine felony and misdemeanor drug dealing and possession charges in Hendricks County, according to the police report and court records.

Grimes, of 6346 Roberts Creek Lane, was taken to the Johnson County jail and held on $6,800 bond.
