OAKLAND, Iowa — Authorities have released the name of a woman whose body was found after a house fire in western Iowa.

The body was found after the blaze in Oakland the evening of New Year’s Eve. The Pottawattamie County Sheriff’s Office identified the woman as 48-year-old Karen Wilburn.

The cause is being investigated.
