Grow your knowledge for future farmers

Local farmers can learn tips on how to transition their family’s farm to to the next generation.

“Next Steps to Successfully Growing Future Farm Generations,” will be presented by attorneys and estate planning experts Michelle Adler of Bluffton, Tom Appel of Valparaiso, Dan Gordon of Bluffton and Jeff Washburn of Columbus through the Purdue Extension.

Johnson County’s session is 1 to 4 p.m. Jan. 31 at the extension office, 484 N. Morton St., Franklin.

Topics include long term care, retirement planning, caring for the caregiver and buy/sell agreements.

Cost is $40 for the first four family members and $10 for each additional member.
