BALTIMORE — After breaking its per-capita homicide record last year, Baltimore has recorded its first two homicides of 2018.
Baltimore City police released two media briefs on Monday announcing the deaths of two men that day.
Officers responding to a south Baltimore neighborhood around 3:40 p.m. Monday found an unidentified man suffering from a gunshot wound to the neck. He was transported to Shock Trauma, where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
Elsewhere, officers responding to a northeast Baltimore parking lot found two men with gunshot wounds sitting in a car. A 30-year-old man sustained wounds to the head and torso and was pronounced dead at a hospital. A 36-year-old man was shot in the hip and hospitalized with a non-life-threatening injury.
Homicide detectives are investigating both incidents.
