Indy hospital earns care certification

A southside hospital has earned a certification for its care for safe sleeping techniques for infants.

Franciscan Health Indianapolis has been recognized by the National Safe Sleep Hospital Certification Program as a “Silver Safe Sleep Leader” for its commitment to best practices and education on infant safe sleep.

To earn this designation, the hospital developed and maintains a safe sleep policy, provides training for staff working with newborns and children under the age of 12 months and actively engages parents and caregivers in safe sleep practices prior to discharge.
