FAIR HAVEN, Vt. — Vermont police are searching for a suspect who tried to commit an armed robbery at a Fair Haven restaurant.

Police say the suspect went into the China City Restaurant at around 11 a.m. Saturday.

The suspect was wearing a “silverfish-gray hoodie sweat shirt and a black and white scarf covering his face.”

The Rutland Herald reports the man demanded money and acted like he was holding a gun, although he never displayed a weapon.

Police say the suspect fled the restaurant without receiving any money, and was seen getting into the passenger side of a vehicle in the parking lot.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to call the Fair Haven Police Department.
