COON RAPIDS, Minn. — Several pets are believed to have died in a New Year’s Day house fire in Coon Rapids.

KARE-TV reports that the six people inside the mobile home escaped safely after the blaze broke out mid-day Monday, but a number of animals are believed to have died. They include a dog, three cats, a ferret, and a tank full of exotic fish.

The cause of the fire wasn’t immediately known.
