BOSTON — Fireworks will once again light up the sky above Boston Harbor to celebrate the New Year.
Organizers were forced to scrap the New Year’s Eve Midnight Harbor Fireworks show last year due to a lack of funds. But The Boston Globe reports that the waterfront businesses and neighborhood groups helped raise money to bring the show back this year.
The fireworks will be set off around midnight from two barges between Long Wharf and Fan Pier. Organizers say the best places to watch the show are from Christopher Columbus Park in the North End, Fan Pier in the Seaport District and the Harborwalk in East Boston.
