Warriors split at Vincennes

Whiteland won its first-round game Thursday at the Vincennes Rivet holiday tournament before being handed a double-overtime defeat in the semifinal round.

The Warriors were defeated by Evansville Memorial in the evening 67-64 despite a 25-point effort by Mackenzie Blazek. Megan Harlow had 15 points and Toni Joyner 13 in the loss.

In the opening round, Blazek scored 28 points and Harlow added 17 as the Warriors took care of Evansville Mater Dei 56-40.

Woodmen compete at Mooresville

Greenwood placed 10th among 24 teams at the Mooresville Holiday Classic on Thursday. Nick Willham led the way for the Woodmen with a second-place finish at 170 pounds, while Jacob Schrader was fifth at 152.
