Unemployment down in November

The county’s unemployment rate fell again last month, staying below 3 percent.

In November, the county’s unemployment rate was 2.8 percent, down from 2.9 percent in October and from 3.2 percent in November 2016, according to the Indiana Department of Workforce Development.

Other central Indiana counties had a similar drop. The statewide rate fell to 3.7 percent, down from 3.9 percent in October and 4.1 percent in November 2016, according to the state report.

Johnson County was one of 22 counties in the state with an unemployment rate of less than 3 percent.
