NEW YEAR’S EVE PARTY, 6 p.m. Dec. 31, Greenwood VFW Post No. 5864, 333 S. Washington St. $25. Ticket includes music, food, champagne for a toast, and favors. If interested in the music only, the price is $10 to cover the cost of “The Luke-Carol Project Band.” The theme of this year’s event is Mardi Gras. The meal includes New York strip steak, baked potato, green beans, corn, salad, roll, butter and dessert. Biscuits and gravy are served at the end of the night.
