Joseph M. White Sr., 74, of Greenwood, passed away on December 24, 2017.
Joseph was born on August 23, 1943 in Indianapolis, to Charles and Charlotte White.
Joseph was a hardworking man, having worked 40-plus years at Eli Lilly.
Joseph loved his dogs, children and grandchildren.
He was a dedicated father; he coached sporting teams throughout his son’s life. He loved his family and will be greatly missed.
Joseph is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 54 years, Lillian (Miner) White; son, Joseph M. White Jr.; daughter, Christine Watson; grandchildren, Ashley White, Zachary White, Kiersten White, Madison Watson, MacKenzie Watson and Michelle Watson; and sisters, Jean Pierce and Thelma Robinson.
Preceding Joseph in death are his parents and siblings, William White, Catherine Huver, Charlotte Walker and Delores Hasty.
Memorial contributions can be made in Joseph’s honor to the Johnson County Animal Shelter.
A visitation will be held, today, Thursday, December 28, 2017 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 S. State Road 135, Greenwood. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 29, 2017 at 10 a.m. at Forest Lawn.
