ARLINGTON, OHIO
Clell “Ted” F. Lafferty, age 96, of Arlington, Ohio, died at 11:25 p.m. on Monday, December 25, 2017 at Bridge Hospice in Findlay, Ohio.
He was born on November 21, 1921 in Arlington, Ohio to the late Ivan Leroy and Elizabeth J. (Riegle) Lafferty.
He married Doris L. Betts on November 2, 1939 in Decatur, Indiana, and she survives.
Also surviving are a son, Coldren L. (Judith) Lafferty of rural Findlay, daughter, Barbara Jo Martin of Martinsville, Indiana; five grandchildren, Garret Lafferty, Travis Lafferty, Sherry Holiday, Anna Marie Haley and Susan Payson. He also has seven great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death is a granddaughter, Betty Nunn; one great-grandchild; and a brother, Robert Lafferty.
Ted was a mechanic, a farmer and enjoyed woodworking and collecting India Brass.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at Crates Funeral Home in Arlington, Ohio, from 10 a.m. to noon. A celebration of his life will be held at the funeral home at the conclusion of the visitation at noon on Saturday, with Pastor Mike Spann officiating. Interment will be at Houcktown Cemetery at a later date.
