FRANKLIN
Douglas D. “Doug” Duckworth, 53, of Franklin, IN, passed away Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio.
He was born June 12, 1964 in Franklin, Indiana to John P. and Carolyn (Henderson) Duckworth. He was a 1982 graduate of Franklin Community High School and a graduate of Lincoln Tech School in Indianapolis. He had been a mechanic for 35 years, having been the service manager for Jacobi Case IH in Franklin for 3 years.
He previously had been a service manager for Rental Service Corporation in Indianapolis and Phoenix, Arizona, Paris Tire and also his own company in Franklin. He was a member of the Franklin Elks Lodge #1818.
He enjoyed fishing, golfing, boating, hunting and camping. He was a devoted and loving father that was dedicated to his daughters and entire family.
Survivors include his daughters, Alicia M. Cyrnek (Kevin) of Surprise, AZ, and Angelica C. Duckworth of Franklin, IN; two grandchildren, Mavryk Cyrnek and Madden Cyrnek, both of Surprise, AZ; fiancee, Karen L. George of Franklin, IN; mother, Carolyn (Henderson) Duckworth Rogers of Franklin, IN; siblings, Diane D. Weiss (Robert) of Versailles, KY, David D. Duckworth of Franklin, IN, Darrell J. Duckworth (Criss) of Franklin, IN, Deborah D. Gallaway of Ocala, FL, and Daniel A. Duckworth (Stacy) of Franklin, IN; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, John P. Duckworth.
The Reverend Allen Whitehurst will conduct a service Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 300 South U.S. 31 (Morton Street), in Franklin. Friends may call Tuesday, December 26, 2017 from 2-8 PM at the mortuary. A private family graveside service will take place at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin.
