LAS VEGAS — Authorities in Las Vegas are looking for a killer after a woman’s body was found partially burned in a trash bin at an apartment complex southeast of downtown.

Police say officers were called about 4:30 p.m. Sunday after a homeless person found the body of the woman who appeared to be in her 20s in a refuse bin in an apartment resident parking area on East Viking Road.

The victim’s name has not been released.

The department said in a statement Monday her body had no visible trauma wounds. She was laying in the bottom of the trash bin.

Investigators say they have no suspect or suspects and the motive is unknown. They say they are checking surveillance video in the area and looking for witnesses.
