LAS VEGAS — Police in Las Vegas say a pedestrian is dead after being struck by a vehicle north of Flamingo Road.

They say the incident occurred around 2:30 a.m. Saturday.

A man was walking across Algonquin Drive outside of a crosswalk when he was struck by a vehicle, which left the scene.

Police say a witness discovered the man in the roadway and emergency crews took the victim to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The man’s name, age and hometown haven’t been released yet.
