WICHITA, Kan. — Wichita police are searching for the driver after a chase ended with a car in the Arkansas River.

KAKE-TV reports that officers were called around 1 a.m. Sunday to a report of a disturbance. Arriving officers saw a sedan leaving the scene. When an effort to pull over the driver failed, a chase began.

Police called off the chase a short time later, but found the car in the river. The driver was not located near the vehicle and police have no description.
