Area Christmas activities abound

If you’re looking for a last-minute way to celebrate Christmas, local communities have a few options for you.

From a local parade to a community meal, here are some events that will help put you in the Christmas spirit

Santa Claus Parade

» 6 to 9 p.m. today, New Whiteland.

» The parade will start and end at the fire station, 500 Sweetbriar Ave., and follow along multiple town roads. Santa will visit with children at Tracy Plaza and is expected to arrive between 7:45 and 8 p.m.

The Foto Sisters

» 7 p.m. today, Amity Baptist Church, 3597 U.S. 31 South.

» The Foto Sisters, a family performing troupe from Louisiana, will play worship and classical music. The event is free, but an offering will be taken. Seating is limited to the first 250 people.

Christmas Dinner

» 5 to 6: 30 p.m. Monday, Grace United Methodist Church, 1300 E. Adams Drive, Franklin.

» Diners can share a meal inside the church.
