Samuel Anderson, 83, of Bargersville, passed away on Wednesday, December 20, 2017. He was born to the late Samuel Anderson Sr. and Gladys Glover, in Auburn, Kentucky, in 1934. After high school, Samuel went on to marry his lifetime sweetheart, Yvonne (Donna) on November 5, 1955, in Indianapolis. Samuel worked for Lucent Technologies as a maintenance tech for 32 years, retiring in 1996. In his down time, Samuel loved woodworking and carpentry. In the spring time, he couldn’t wait to be able to get outside and work in his garden. Samuel loved going out 2 step dancing with his friends. He never knew a stranger, befriending many people throughout his lifetime.
Samuel is survived by his loving wife, Yvonne (Donna) Anderson of Bargersville; four children, Debra Kriech of Bargersville, Gwendolyn (Billy) Smith of Oklahoma City, OK, Jeffrey (Kathleen) Anderson of Franklin; three sisters, Estelle Kahl of Greenwood, Louise Bowman of Greenwood, and Connie Dean of Greenwood; two brothers, Roger Dale Glover of Indianapolis, and Dennis Glover of Camby; fifteen grandchildren; and sixteen great-grandchildren. Samuel was preceded in death by: a son, Samuel Darrell Anderson; a brother, Albert Anderson; two sisters, Theresa Sims, and Linda Johnson; and one grandson, Jeffrey Scott.
A visitation will be Friday, December 22nd at Jessen Funeral Home, Whiteland Chapel from 5-8 p.m. with a service on Saturday December 23rd at 11 a.m.
