BULLHEAD CITY, Ariz. — Bullhead City police are reminding motorists to be cautious after two burros were killed by a passing vehicle.

The Bullhead City Police Department says emergency crews responded to a vehicle accident at Bullhead Parkway and Arroyo Vista Drive around 4 a.m. Wednesday.

Authorities say a driver struck and killed two burros that were entering the roadway.

According to the driver, the burros were on the shoulder but darted out in front of her vehicle.

The driver was not injured.

The Bureau of Land Management says burros tend to venture out more when the weather is cooler.
