NORTH PLATTE, Neb. — Authorities say marijuana has been found in the vehicle of a California woman who was arrested in western Nebraska.

The Nebraska State Patrol says a trooper made a traffic stop of the woman’s car Sunday just after she left Interstate 80 in North Platte. The trooper discovered the driver was wanted on 2010 traffic citation for speeding in eastern Nebraska. She’s been identified as 50-year-old Jewel Estrada, who lives in North San Juan, California.

The patrol says troopers found around 59 pounds (27 kilograms) of pot in her car.

Online court records don’t list the name of an attorney who could comment for Estrada about the warrant or the new drug charge.
