State Road 252 set to reopen

A section of State Road 252, just east of Johnson County, that has been closed for months is set to reopen this week.

The state has been doing a $12 million project to widen and reconstruct or resurface about five miles of State Road 252, from Interstate 65 to Flat Rock in Shelby County.

On Wednesday, the road is set to reopen after being closed for months, according to a news release from the Indiana Department of Transportation.

More work is planned along the road in 2018, including rebuilding about 2 miles of the highway and replacing sections of the road, the release said.
