FRANKLIN
Betty LaVerne Wilkerson, 90, passed away on Thursday, December 14, 2017 in Franklin. She was a resident of Franklin.
She was born on June 4th, 1927 in Indianapolis to William Reed and Phenia (Gross) Reed. She married Harry K. Wilkerson. He preceded her in passing in 1969. Betty is survived by two daughters, Deborah (James Oliver) Smith and Rita (J.W.) Brewer; five grandchildren, Wendy Schelske, Keith Smith, Kimberly Sheeks, Jennifer Brewer, Katrina Mueller; four great-grandchildren; one brother, Kenneth Reed and one sister, Jackie Newby. She was preceded in passing by her parents, husband, Harry; daughter, Theresa Wilkinson and son, Robert Eugene Wilkerson.
She was employed by Bendix in Franklin and later worked for Specialty Connector in Franklin retiring after many years of dedicated service.
Betty enjoyed working in her yard and gardening.
A Gathering for Family and Friends will be held on Tuesday, December 19th from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 North Morton Street, (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin.
