CenturyLink services restored after incident

Service has been restored to CenturyLink customers in the Center Grove area who were without phone and internet services last week after a fiber line was accidentally cut.

The outage, which lasted from Thursday to Saturday evening, was the result of fiber line being cut by someone not associated with CenturyLink. While the cut is believed to be an accident, the company is still working to determine what happened, said Pat Welsh, a CenturyLink market development manager.

Company officials declined to say how many customers were affected by the outage.
