TRAFALGAR
Inez K. (Fults) Elliott, age 96 of Trafalgar, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving daughters on Friday afternoon, December 8, 2017.
She was born March 6, 1921, in New Augusta, Indiana, to her parents, the late Edward C. and Lottee J. (Meyers) Fults. Inez was a 1939 graduate of Pike High School in Indianapolis and went on to earn a degree in Nursing from the Methodist Hospital School of Nursing in 1942. She married Richard C. Elliott on June 15, 1943, in Wichita Falls, Texas. He preceded her in death on February 4, 1998, after 54 devoted years of marriage.
Inez retired in 1984 from Johnson County Hospital where she worked as a Register Nurse for over 34 years. She was also retired from working on her family’s farm, where she helped her husband with bailing hay and raising horses. Inez was a 33 year member of the Trafalgar Christian Church where she participated in various activities through the years.
Inez enjoyed reading books on her IPad and vacationing with her family at Holden Beach, North Carolina. She was a fan of the Indiana Pacers.
She is survived by two daughters, Karen S. (Carroll) Kressel of Maryville, Tennessee and Connie J. Elliott of Trafalgar; honorary grandson, Eric Smith of Edinburgh; step grandchildren, Tom Kressel and Leslie Kressel, both of Orlando, Florida; step great-grandchild, Brayden Kressel of Orlando, Florida; and several nieces and nephews..
Inez was preceded in death by siblings, Thelma Hensley, Edward A. Fults, J. Keith Fults, Merritt W. Fults and Robert G. Fults.
The Rev. Jane Stout will conduct a memorial service on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at the Trafalgar Christian Church, 300 E. Pearl Street in Trafalgar. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday at Meredith – Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center, 179 E. Mulberry Street in Morgantown. Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin.
