Man charged with sexual battery

A Franklin man has been charged with sexual battery after a girl told police he forced her to touch him.

Tabor J. Feasel, 19, was charged with a felony count of sexual battery and arrested on a warrant this week.

A girl who is younger than 18 told police that in June she had asked Feasel to give her a ride to a friend’s house, and that he had instead stopped at a Franklin park. The girl told police that Feasel kissed her, touched her and forced her to touch him after she had told him she wanted to leave, according to the police report.

Feasel apologized to the girl for what happened through text messages and to the girl’s mother through online messaging, the report said.

When police interviewed him, Feasel said he did not force the girl to touch him, and that it was consensual, and that he had apologized because he thought that was what the girl and her friends and family wanted to hear, the report said.

Feasel, 556 Hannah Place, was taken to the Johnson County jail, where he was released on $1,200 bond.
