The sheriff’s office is investigating after a woman reported her vehicle was shot outside her Center Grove area home.
Just after noon Tuesday, a resident in the 3900 block of West Smith Valley Road called the sheriff’s office to report she had heard several loud pops and found what she believed to be two bullet holes in her father’s vehicle, which she drives, according to the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office report.
The woman also told police a man she had previously dated had just dropped her off at the home when she heard the shots that were fired, the report said.
Investigators spoke to the man, who said he did not shoot the vehicle. Investigators also did not find a gun when they spoke to the man, Sheriff Doug Cox said.
The sheriff’s office is continuing to investigate.
