LAS VEGAS — Las Vegas police are searching for a shooter who killed a man as he attempted to stop a robbery.

Las Vegas police have released a surveillance video of the Dec. 1 shooting in hopes of getting leads on the shooter’s identity.

According to police, Colton Sawyer was killed chasing after the armed robber who had taken money from a woman.

Police say Sawyer was shot twice and suffered one gunshot wound to the head.

He was declared dead at the scene.

The shooter is described as black man between the ages 20 and early 30s with facial hair. He was last seen wearing a black zip-up hoodie and black jeans.
