Experience Victorian Christmas at holiday high tea event

Adults wanting to get a peek at a traditional Victorian Christmas can attend a tea later this month.

Victorian Christmas Traditions and Holiday High Tea will be at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Clark-Pleasant branch of the Johnson County Library, 530 Tracy Road, Whiteland.

The event is meant for adults ages 18 and older. Participants are asked to register at pageafter page.org/register.

Participants will sip on tea while a representative from the Johnson County Museum of History educates them on Victorian Christmas traditions. Festive holiday music will play while tea lovers are shown how to create a Victorian ornament.

Sarah Nathan, a Steeped Tea Independent Consultant will chat about teas while Linda Talley will be presenting from the museum.

The program started four years ago when people were interested in Downton Abbey. Library goers still requested programs on tea after the television show ended and the tea has become a tradition.
