Keith Barmore, 75, of Greenwood, Indiana, formerly of Columbus, Indiana, passed from this life at 5 p.m. Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at his home.
Mr. Barmore was born December 6, 1941, in Jefferson County, Indiana, the son of Granville J. and Ethel Uebel Barmore. He married Phyllis A. Anderson May 27, 1966.
Mr. Barmore was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of the Indiana Army National Guard.
Mr. Barmore was formerly employed at Reliance Electric in Madison, Indiana and was a part-time construction worker. He later started Barmore Construction in Columbus and retired in 2000 after 21 years.
Mr. Barmore enjoyed traveling and vacationing with his wife in Florida.
Mr. Barmore is survived by his wife of 51 years, Phyllis; a son, John Barmore of Greenwood, Indiana; a daughter, Elaine (Monty) Dunn of Seymour, Indiana; three grandsons; a brother, Kenneth (Martha) Barmore of Sellersburg, Indiana; and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Barmore was preceded in death by his parents; an infant sister, Shirley Barmore; and a sister, Delores Hill.
The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home, 1029 Washington Street, Columbus with Pastor Tom Bell officiating.
Family and friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday and from 12 p.m. until service time Tuesday.
Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery. Full military rites will be presented by the Indiana Army National Guard Ceremonial Unit and the Bartholomew County Veterans Honor Guard.
