HAPEVILLE, Ga. — Police in Georgia say a man is accused of repeatedly ramming patrol cars and fighting with officers.
WGCL-TV reports that a Hapeville police report says Dwight Nash emerged from the woods and rested on a car reported to police as unoccupied on Monday, and then crawled into the car and rammed into two patrol cars.
The report says an officer used a baton to smash multiple windows while Nash had “a 1,000-yard stare.” Nash got out of the vehicle and struggled with both officers. He was eventually handcuffed, taken to a hospital and later jailed on charges including aggravated assault on a police officer.
The report said Nash is an Army veteran who suffers from PTSD and threatened to kill the officers.
It’s unclear if he has a lawyer.
