It’s a wonderful show: See radio play at Artcraft

You can catch a holiday classic in a different format at the Artcraft Theatre.

The New Mercury Theatre Players will perform “It’s a Wonderful Life.” radio play at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 5 at the theater, 57 N. Main St., Franklin.

Performed as a 1940s radio-style production, props will help with sound cues. Stacks of paint sticks “snap” to mimic a frozen pond cracking beneath a sled. Cheerleader pom poms imitate a rustling hydrangea bush. An antique Ah-Oogah horn tells us a taxi has arrived.

This performance is sponsored by Franklin Lions Club.

Tickets are $10, $8, $6 and are on sale now at the Artcraft Theatre box office, online at historicartcrafttheatre.org, or by calling 317-736-6823.
