MIDDLETOWN, N.Y. — Police have released surveillance video of a man suspected of firing a gun in an upstate New York mall crowded with holiday shoppers.

At a news conference on Tuesday, Wallkill police Chief Robert Hertman showed four videos of the suspect described as a white or Hispanic male with dark hair, a beard and a mustache.

One video shows the man entering the Galleria at Crystal Run Sunday afternoon with a woman, a young child and an infant. Other videos show people reacting to a shot and the suspect and woman walking quickly past a store and exiting the mall.

Hertman says they’ve viewed “dozens of hours” video. He’s asking anyone who may have information on the suspect and or woman to call Town of Wallkill detectives at 845-692-6757.
