THOMPSON FALLS, Mont. — Two people are dead and one was injured in a weekend murder, shooting and suicide at a residence near Trout Creek in northwestern Montana.

Sanders County Sheriff Tom Rummel says the shooting was reported just before 9 p.m. Saturday.

A woman was killed, a man was taken to a Missoula hospital with a gunshot wound and the man suspected in the shootings was found dead of a self-inflicted gunshot wound near the residence.

The shooting is still being investigated and authorities are not releasing the names and ages of those involved until their family members can be notified.
