CRESTWOOD, Mo. — Police in suburban St. Louis are looking for thieves who broke into a gun shop, stole rifles, and fired shots at a worker at a neighboring business.

The break-in occurred about 2:30 a.m. Monday at Southern Armory in Crestwood. The worker at the nearby business, Harbor Freight Tools, was in the process of calling 911 when bullets shattered glass at his store. The worker was not struck.

Police they three thieves broke into the gun shop and took several rifles before speeding off in a car. No arrests have been made.

The burglary was the latest of several at St. Louis-area gun shops.
