Boys basketball

Braves rally past Lancers

Jared DeHart scored 25 points to help Indian Creek pull out a 58-55 home win in its season opener Saturday against a stubborn Edinburgh team.

Coltan Henderson had 16 points to lead the Lancers (1-1), who led by one at the half and were still even, 36-36, after three quarters. Christian Cox added 11 in a losing effort.

Trojans dominate Flashes

Trayce Jackson-Davis scored 24 points and Center Grove sank 10 3-pointers en route to a 64-38 victory against Franklin Central in a rematch of last season’s sectional final.

Ben Greller and Spencer Piercefield each scored nine points from long range, while Joey Klaasen hit a pair of treys and finished with eight points.

The Trojans (2-0) are at Southport on Friday.

Girls basketball

Lancers hammer Medora

Edinburgh dominated throughout in a 61-20 rout of Medora on Saturday, scoring as many points in the first quarter as the Hornets did all game.

Taylor Tatlock’s 11 points paced a balanced offense for the Lancers (3-3). Destiney Ramey was also in double figures with 10 points.
