The Johnson County commissioners are looking for applicants for boards across the county.
Applications are due Dec. 20 and can be filed at co.johnson.in.us.
The available positions are:
- Alcohol Beverage Commission Board (one board member, one-year term), interested individuals must be a resident of the county.
- Bargersville Fire Protection District Board (one board member, four-year term, Union Township), interested individuals must live in the district and township and must have knowledge and experience in matters pertaining to fire protection and related activities in the district.
- Hensley Fire Protection District Board (one board member, four-year term, Hensley Township), interested individuals must live in the district and township and must have knowledge and experience in matters pertaining to fire protection and related activities in the district.
- Hensley Fire Protection District Board (one board member, four-year term, Franklin Township), interested individuals must live in the district and township and must have knowledge and experience in matters pertaining to fire protection and related activities in the district.
- Hensley Fire Protection District Board (one board member, four-year term, At-Large), interested individuals must live in the district and township and must have knowledge and experience in matters pertaining to fire protection and related activities in the district.
- Needham Fire Protection District (one board member, three-year term, Franklin Township), interested individuals must live in the district and township and must have knowledge and experience in matters pertaining to fire protection and related activities in the district.
- Nineveh Fire Protection District (one board member, four-year term, Nineveh Township), interested individuals must live in the district and township and must have knowledge and experience in matters pertaining to fire protection and related activities in the district.
- Nineveh Fire Protection District (1 board member, two-year term, At Large), interested individuals must live in the district and township and must have knowledge and experience in matters pertaining to fire protection and related activities in the district.
- Whiteland Fire Protection District Board (one board member, four-year term, Pleasant Township), interested individuals must live in the district and township and must have knowledge and experience in matters pertaining to fire protection and related activities in the district.
- White River Fire Protection District Board (one board member, four-year term, White River Township), interested individuals must live in the district and township and must have knowledge and experience in matters pertaining to fire protection and related activities in the district.
- Greenwood Public Library Board (one board member, four-year term, City of Greenwood), interested individuals must live in the library’s district.
- Convention, Visitor, and Tourism Board (three board members, two-year term), interested individuals please list your political party, if you are engaged in the convention, visitor, or tourism business, or involved in promoting conventions, visitors or tourism, and if you are engaged in the business of renting rooms, lodging or accommodations. Interested individuals also will need to include employer’s information.
- Drainage Board (two board members, three-year term each), interested individuals must live in the county and be knowledgeable in drainage matters.
- City of Franklin – Buffer Zone Plan Commission (one board member, four-year term), interested individuals must live in the city’s buffer zone.
